I see we have people on this site who are anti-Mazda. An affordable, reliable auto maker the creates fun-to-drive sport sedans/cars.
Is this bizarro autospies?
Not quite sure anymore.

was it a 626?
They were notorious for transmission faults...the tranny was sourced from, you guessed it, Ford Motor Co.

I love the sporty factor mazda has in their cars, though Ford did screw mazda up after their alliance. my mom was gonna buy a used 626 for a daily drvr, but went to a used crv.

Mazda does, however, design/engineer and build their cars in Japan - the only sourced engine is the V6 used in the Mazda6.
Actually, the Mazda3 shares components with the European Ford Focus (Has NOTHING to do with the USA Focus) and Volvo S40.
The Escape clone (Tribute) needs to be dropped STAT. The Cx-7 and Cx-9 are well-designed, modern crossovers that should be successful, no thanks to Ford. (Who BTW only has 30% stake in Mazda)

33% to be exact, yes the tribute needs to be dropped. im in no favor of crossovers, nor the looks of the cx7, but I hear lots of ppl love it. the nxt mazda 6 will virtually be the ford mondeo of europe I guess, ford europe obviously knows what theyre doing unlike Ford US.

I'm hoping they don't 'inflate' the size of the Mazda6 too much - it would lose it's appeal as a "european" (in the sense that its not made for America's fat a**s) sport sedan.
It would be interesting for them to attempt a full size model - a few years down the road, to replace the old Millenia from years back. Mazda9? Maybe they should avoid that all together...
As for crossovers, they're not for me, but I think the Cx-7 and 9 were both well executed and have won many comparison tests.
This brand has found a great niche for itself.
Hopefully they stay on course.

so far I never heard such news about the nxt 6 except what I mentioned. though I do hope it keeps its title for a sporty sedan. wonder how it'll look.
