Mercedes-Benz Canada launches new C-Class web site
As you will see the website is very well designed, the navigation is simple, the content is impressive, but most importantly, it gets the message across. I am not trying exaggerated, but the website with its beautiful design, rich content, and simplicity mirrors the car itself. Read Article

I doubt if the IS is a better car. My wife and I looked at the IS and found it to be was too small. The only thing that stood out in the IS was the very comfortable front seats and it is one of the few vehicles that offers identical features for the two front seats. Even the LS fails to offer to the front passenger all the features of the driver's seat. The thing that royally pissed me off about the IS is that you can only get AWD on the el cheapo IS250 and, to get RWD with LSD (which is what I want) you have to order the IS350 Sport model.

Having demonized the IS in the previous paragraph let me now double demonize the new C-Class website. When I visit an automotive website I want to be able to jump immediatly to "build your own" and "specifitations". This mercedes website forces the reader to watch a whole bunch of useless marketing hype in the form of an overly fancy presentation that eats up a lot of bandwidth. I do not like that website at all and it is far rom easy to navigate as some would have you think.

The only thing I want from Mercedes at this stage is to make a public commitmnet to bring the Vision C220 Bluetec to North America before the beginning of 2008. I also want them to offer it with LSD for winter traction.

I'm sure you've bought a couple hundred in your C-Class fleet to personally record the reliability problems? Seriously, how would you ever know that right now?

Lexus fanboys are a joke. Who would buy a Lexus over a C-Class? This new C-Class represents everything that makes German cars the best on earth: prestige, feel, driving dynamics, quality, reliability. Lexus can't produce a car with any of those things.

well mabe the reliability. but lately toyota's lexus reliability hasn't been up to the standards it used to be. just look at jd.. lexus reliability is getting worst. i mean i guess thats what happens when lexus actually tries to invent something instead of copying merc and bmw.

I finally saw the new 2008 Mercedes C-Class today along with many others Benz' parked in front of my favorite Mexican restaurant El Toritos as a display and the new C-Class looks much better in person than in the photos and the fit and finish is second to nove in the class and the interior is awesome and second to none.

I'm sick of all this talk about electrical problems in a benz, speak to someone who owns a benz, ME. My 2005 Black SL500 has never had any problems, never missed a beat, just perfect.
I wish something does brake down, so I can use that warranty for once.
The only problem I have is keeping all the babes away. They love this car,so do I.

Electrical problems were a plague on German cars in the eighties when Siemens supplied stupid electrical components like power window switches with lead contacts that oxidized and stopped conducting electricity. How stupid is that Siemens?

BTW, these switches were terribly expensive to replace and would be destroyed more often than not if taken apart to sand the oxidation off the contacts.

I had three Audis in the eighties with these kinds of problems but am happy to say the my leaased 2004 A6 Quattro has been almost totally problem free. It's due for replacement in the spring of 2008 and I would not hesitate to get another German car.

I think MB has made a positive return to its old type of philosophy of building cars. This one, I think, will feel solid and strong and will be a proper Mercedes Benz. Lots of class.

Why even bother marketing this car? The Lexus IS drives better, is more reliable, has a better interior, looks nicer, is cheaper and better equipped, has more interior space, has the better engines and transmissions and outhandles a BMW 3 series / M3. This Benz is a joke. Lexus IS all the way!

david666, please stop the drugs, the IS is a competitor to the Honda Accord and company, not even in the same class as the mighty C Class. God those bloated rear panels with small wheels inside is dead ugly in the IS.
Like you said david, "is cheap".
