FRANKFURT (Dow Jones)--German car maker Daimler AG (DAI) said Friday global sales at its core Mercedez-Benz Cars unit fell 10.
7% to 93,900 units in July.
MAIN FACTS:
-In the first seven months, the division posted a 17.5% sales fall to 638,100 cars.
-Sales at the Mercedes-Benz brand were down 10% on the year at 83,500 cars in July.
-Sales at the Mercedes-Benz brand were down 18.1% in the first seven months at 566,600 cars.
-Sales at the Smart brand were down 15.9% on the year at 10,400 cars in July and down 12% in the first seven months at 71,500 cars.
