More Lamborghini V8 spy pics and video
Several V8 Gallardo test mules have been spotted over the past month, with this latest prototype photographed at Lamborghini’s Sant’Agata headquarters. Looking almost identical to the current V10 model, the new V8 Gallardo can be differentiated by the unique tailpipes and the distinctly unique engine burble. The most likely power source is VW Group’s 4.2L FSI V8 borrowed from the Audi R8 but with slight modifications to give it a unique sound. Read Article

VAG's making a stupid move with this one. Who in their right mind would buy an R8 in any form over a V8 Gallardo? The price difference between the two is being virtually eliminated with the addition of this model. Why pay so much for a reskinned Gallardo in the first place is my question.

Give me a break!

There will be no V8 Gallardo.

Don't believe everything that comes on this website.

Well even if there was, I would take the R8 over it.

If the their a V8 Gallardo, don't you think it will hurt the Audi R8 sales? and they both own by the same company.

And I wonder how much horse power will the V8 Gallardo have?

I would like a V-8 Gallardo. Especially if it is lighter and rear wheel drive only.

I don't think it would hurt the R8 sales. While the two cars would share quite a bit I think they would appeal to different buyers.

i agree. audi r8 is pointed towards luxury and perfomance in the long run, with their buyers looking for just that. while lambos, well... we know that answer. theyre different markets.

I'm sure if it just me or anyone up there wonder or ask yourself why is Audi creating a Lambo Gallardo fighter? Not only a V8 version R8 but also currently in the process of making a V10 R8 version as well.

I hope Audi is planning to sales Lambo brand to somebody else once the the Audi R8 sales start to kick off.
