When you ask any automotive enthusiast what they think is the most elegant looking sports car, there is a reasonable chance they will answer "Aston Martin." This is the company that has essentially taken a Ferrari and a Bentley and smashed them together, repeatedly, until the end result was an Aston.

And being that we are the 00's of the auto industry, you know we love our Bond gadgets.

With that said though, not everyone agrees. Speaking with industry contacts about the latest Aston, the Rapide, it seems that there is some dissension; people are beginning to find the Rapide's design bland and uninspiring.

And when you think about it, you cannot entirely blame them because the Rapide is a stretched and pulled DB9, essentially. The design is not tremendously unique.

That does not mean it is not beautiful though!

Originally, I was not too sold on yet another four-door coupe but when you see this car in the flesh it is astonishing. Particularly the interior.

Take a look below and discuss, is the Aston too late to the market or is it going to be a timeless classic?
