You knew that when BMW finally decided to release a cute ute of their own they would do it right. But did you ever think they would introduce the X1 starting at under $32,000? People, that is the famous BMW badge at VW Tiguan prices! Our first images from New York have caught the X1 on the floor and we had up close access to the first real world example. You have to say BMW did it right with this one, and this is going to be one nice ride for those who want the top in quality and performance but don't want to layout $40,000 in the process. Now the real question is going to be. Who can keep up this pace for bang for the buck?2012 New York Auto Show Photo Gallery 2012 New York Auto Show Photo Gallery

Seen 1 seen them all. I'm really not feeling the approach that these once coveted vehicles are taking by making all of their vehicles looks the same. Audi does it, Mercedes does it, BMW does it and even Ferarri is doing it.I'll pass on this one just like I'll pass on a lot of these newer cars.— 1dott8 (View Profile)

I actually really like. I have had some friends do european delviery and they have sit in one at the Welt and they said they were very impressed. I would get one as my next BMW because I have gotten in to triathlons and this is great for my gear, all wheel drive and perfect for me living in the city of chicago. But, I guess athletes buy athletic cars and couch potatoes dont.— 2ndbimmer (View Profile)
