Bookings for the world’s cheapest car Tata Nano, failed to live up to hype.

Tata recorded 2.03 Lakh (203,000) bookings till date, which equates to one-third of the total number of forms issued and is way less than the company’s expectation of half a million bookings.

Lamborghini_vs_Ferrari_Racer

This is the car which should put the world on wheels.
I believe the updated European version should be able to pass US Crash tests.

This is also what the Smart should have been - An extremely cheap car to buy and run!

Basically, supply and demand. Ferrai produces a much smaller volume of cars than there is demand for which creates a waiting list for most Ferraris especially the convertibles. People who don't want to wait 2 years would rather by used which pushes up the prices. Ferrari buyers know this so many buy and sell fast making a quick 50K or so. (Ferrari corp. hates this and some dealers blacklist customers but that hasnt stopped it.. lately they've talked about ramping up production a bit). Note that Ferrari's that are not in high demand (e.g., 612) drop like bricks. Lambo produces numbers closer to what they can sell so they tend to have a much shorter list (when they have one). As a result, buyers would rather wait a couple of months and buy new

Tata did a great job with the design and overall marketing for the Nano. Mr. Tata is not a billionaire for nothing ... I'll give the guy his props. The Nano is the perfect car for developing markets such as India. It'll really improve so many people's lives. Again, good job Tata!
