New 2008 Infiniti EX35 Revealed
Infiniti's 2008 EX-a new five-passenger crossover with a "performance coupe soul". Nissan has taken the wraps off the 2008 Infiniti EX — a production car based closely on the concept shown earlier this year. Slotted below the FX crossover, the EX comes with a 290 horsepower V6 and all-wheel drive.

The new crossover vehicle will share a drivetrain with other vehicles from Nissan's "FM" rear-drive architecture. That means a 3.5-liter V-6, in this version with more than 290 horsepower and something Nissan calls the "Infiniti Swell" acceleration feel. The V-6 is mated to a five-speed automatic with sport mode, adaptive shifting and a manual gate.

Everything looks good except the Maybach looking headlights.

The headlights are not a deal-breaker for me but I hate 8-spokes on a 5-bolt wheel. I'm happy it has a conventional 5-speed automatic instead of a dreaded CVT.

So three less spokes on the wheels and it's perfect?

Will, I can't say it's perfect until I see it in real life but the wheels are not good enough for me. It does not cost any more to have a better wheeel design. cost of producing wheels depends on whether they are cast or forged, made of steel, aluminum or magnesium, and whether they are one-component, two-component, or even a three-component assembly. Car manufacturers, notably Mercedes, use wheel design as an excuse to charge extra for cetain appearance packages. I won't play that game. I want the standard wheel to look good although I might pay extra for a forged wheel over a cast wheel.

These images are of the concept, not the production vehicle- the other thread on this subject has those.

I really like the interior, very flowing and very clean, overall impression very close to Audi quality and aspect. That's great. But the exterior does not do nothing for me, the FX looks much better.

Go to the Infiniti web-site, all the official pics are there.

It looks to me as though Infiniti has finally styled an interior that can stand up to the competion. Well done.

I can't figure out what pisses EL34 off about Nissan. He keeps calling their cars Datsuns and looks for every excuse to call them girlie cars. I'l give you the straight goods on Nissan. I had a Datsun 610 Station Wagon back in the early seventies. I bought it virtually new far below dealer cost after a friend at Nissan in Canada used it for a few thousand miles on offficial Nissan business. The fenders rusted out in one year but Nissan gave me two brand new fenders which I sold with the car. Today's Nissans have modern rust protection and Nissan now makes the best engines among rice burners. The only beef I have with Nissan is that Nissan has adopted the dreaded CVT for the Versa, Sentra, Altima, and Maxima.

this car is pretty ugly if you ask me....the headlights are like the Mercedes R-Class and the rear lights are like the SUBARU TRIBECA...http://images.leftlanenews.com/content/2-2008-subaru-tribeca.jpg

It is a rather funny if not slightly disturbing truth on these boards that one can state an obvious truth, and be de-boosted for it.

let me repeat it, the images under "read article" are not of the production version of this vehicle, nor are they the images on the Infiniti website.

If you do not believe me in this matter, I suggest you perform due diligence in the matter. If you refuse or fail to do so and yet maintain your behavior, then you, my dear sir or madame, are nothing short of a complete imbecile.

What exactly is your point? That is the production version. That is not the version shown in the images under "read aritcle"

Had you read by post at the beginning of the thread then you would be aware of the fact that I know where to find the production version photos.

Of course, if you were providing that to the board in general that would make more sense.

Deary, I am calm.

Now, whether or not I have a sense of humor is another matter altogether...
