New 700HP Mercedes Super Car
There have been rumors for quite some time of a McLaren/Mercedes-Benz split from building high-end road cars. In fact, after the ambitious but not-very-successful Mercedes SLR McLaren, shared plans for a smaller (and more affordable) super-sports model were abandoned.

Instead, Mercedes’ DTM partner—HWA—has been chosen to develop and build the baby SLR. This new SLC will be based on the next-generation SL (code-named R231, scheduled for 2011), a front/mid-engine car with rear-wheel drive, in contrast to earlier speculation of a smaller mid-engine Mercedes-McLaren. A show car is under construction and will be displayed at Geneva next spring.

Lexus LF-A headlights, Acura / Honda grille, Subaru style rims, Nissan Skyline air intakes upfront. Typical Mercedes. Uncreative designs. Nothing class leading about them unlike Lexus or Toyota.

I think you meant tail lights.. Unless you plan on them playing some sick game of super-car chicken.

This is crazy, if the baby makes 700hps, that's more than the current SLR 617 hps. Then how much power is the new SLR going to make, is that going to match the Bugatti and even raise its price to a $1,000,000?

I like the car though.

David 989,

I've already asked nicely, please leave this site!!!

"Uncreative designs. Nothing class leading about them unlike Lexus or Toyota."

Which class are they leading mate? The only one i can think of is worst design. If MB couldn't design cars, why until the most Recent LS were they just copies of the PREVIOUS model S Classes. Your fanboyism clearly distorts your ability to appreciate beautiful design unless it has a Lexus badge on it. And beautiful and Lexus will never go side by side in a sentence.

My opinions are respected and valued especially amongst fellow Lexus fans. Just pointing out that Mercedes wouldn't be anywhere without drawing inspiration from Lexus.

please tell me your not telling me that whatever mercedes makes will be a complete flop. if mercedes wanted to they could design a ford focus with mercedes 3 pointed star on the hood. and it will sell. why because it's a mercedes.

MB definitely has borrow many of it design for this concept from Lexus and Toyota. Fron headlights borrow from Lexus LF-A and the side look like the Toyota Sport concept.

Please cut the bullshit. Mercedes is "copying" nobody here. Don't make me remind you how much your beloved Toyota and Lexus are copying other car companies.
