The Alfa Romeo 4C that is scheduled to go on sale by the end of this year in the U.S. will debut at the 2013 Geneva International Motor Show in Switzerland in March, Fiat said Tuesday.

The rear-wheel drive 4C will lead the charge as the luxury sport car brand returns to the U.S. for the first time since Fiat stopped exporting it in 1995.

The car will cost around $60,000 in the U.S. and be sold at U.S. Fiat dealers.

Chrysler majority-owner Fiat plans to make about 1,500 per year at a Maserati factory in Modena, Italy. Half the cars will be sent to the U.S.
