Whether you think automatic transmissions belong in a Corvette or not, Chevy’s new eight-speed automatic will be added to the seventh-generation Corvette Stingray by 2016. While it will surely debut in the manic Z06, Chevy officials are unclear about its appearance date in the stock Corvettes, telling Auto Guide: "The question would be: 'do you do it in 15 or 16?'"
