New Ferrari California Images and Video
Ever since the computer generated images came out I was drooling over this car. Now German site Autobild has managed to obtain a group of shots of the new model out in the real world. The California will be fully unveiled for the world’s media and viewing public at the Paris Motor Show in September. The car is powered by new 460 hp 4.3-Liter V8 Engine placed in the mid-front position of the car which enables the California to launch from 0-60mph in less than 4 seconds. Check out the pictures and video below. What do you think of the name of the car? Read Article

Despite the stacked exhausts, this car looks amazing. Ferrari has another winner on their hands.

What is it with all the delusional Jap-car fans on this site? It's like you're inside their heads as they fool themselves.

Engine only, and that really doesn't apply to anything but the block.

They can try their best to copy Lexus, but this car still won't be as fast as the IS-F, not to mention the even mighter LF-A which has higher performance than even the Enzo FXX Evo.

It was a Toyota spy that copied Ferrari.

Ferrari designed this car a few years ago.

Maybe it's improvment because they are actually connected?

El34, you stoled my line. And good point Carboy.

Wait, did I just boost EL34? I should deboost myself for that.

EL34, you have zero proof of this, just as you assume that the IS-F was simply thought up only months before launch.

Nonetheless, the rear is too cluttered for a Ferrari and the styling seems more Japanese (profile looks Supra-like) than Italian IMHO.

Actually bulldogz he does have proof, I think it was early last year that a couple of Toyota engineers went to jail for spying on Ferrari. But in reality I really doubt that the stacked exhaust pipes was what they were spying, and if it was then they forgot to go under the car to see if they were connected.

The IS-F was in development for 4 year before production.

I dont think any one copied anyone. It was a matter of time that car companies were going to reconsider the side by side exhaust. Personally I like center rear exhaust or below the doors!!!

No one copied anything here. Lets not start a flamewar going and get the fanboys saying their Lexus LF-A is like a Ferrari LOL.

I think the stacked exhaust works on this car because the rear of the car has more dimension and contrast. The stacked exhaust on the IS-F just sort of poke out from nowhere. Also the side profile looks a bit like the 550/575 maranello, so the design stays within ferrari lines. Also, you can't beat the 4.3L V8 from the F430, albeit a detuned version. However, 0-60 in less than 4 seconds? 30 less hp than the F430 and the added weight of that retractable hardtop contraption and as fast as the F430? I find that hard to believe.

It looks like this car was definitely designed by Jason Castriota because it has some of the same design cues as the 599GTB and the Maserati GranTurismo, both of which he designed.

That being said, what's up with the lights (are they reverse lights?) and the plastic rear "grill"? Not sure if I'm a fan of that or not. Maybe they'll offer the optional challenge rear grill there...that would probably look better.

It's sounds great. I like the profile with the top up. I like it in that light blue color as well. The wheels need to go, the car could use the 599 GTB's BBS wheels.
