Wow. That looks great for a small car. Even better for a Ford product.

Yes, a very nice Mazda. Ford didn't lift a finger to create this car.

The problem is, this one is going to Europe and we get a rehash of the old model. Worse yet, here in the states they are getting rid of the hatchback and the wagon and just going with a sedan and a bland as butter coupe. Why the doemestic automakers continue to leave their best stuff in Europe and give us leftovers is beyond me.

its dumb as hell, the bak looks like the fat ass ugly avenger. but who cares? it'll bring hell for ford in the US.

anyways, this picture of the euro focus has styling cues of the new mondeo.

Damn that looks good... Can't wait to see what they'll do with the ST model and maybe they'll finally make that AWD RS-model they promised to build on the present model! That would be sweet and would blow the head off the competition! 300 hp and AWD in a small and light hatchback!? Screw the 335i, I'll take one of those instead and then go on a two months luxury vacation to the bahamas for the money I'd save!

But I have to agree with the rest of you, why Ford doesn't bring this to the states is beyond me. But I think it might have something to do with the fact that these european hatchbacks are too expensive for the American market, the build- and material- quality and focus on driving dynamics and fuel economy instead of all out luxury of these cars make them too expensive to buy to be viable in the US.

they are, a base euro focus would be $19-24k USD, too expensive to buy such a car like this being a small car marketed in the US. (I found this in this months motor trend reviewing fords future) like opus said the hatch will be gone in the states(IMO thts a dumb move) and we get a fucked-in-the-butt coupe.

Just like the Mondeo is NOT a Ford design, this too isn't. But I agree, why doesn't the damn Ford bring these cars here?

So, the Europeans are getting a great-looking new car on a THIRD-generation platform, while we're getting a 1998 REHASH of the FIRST-generation platform that looks like a POS Hyundai from fifteen years ago?!

Hmmm... I see a bit of bmw flame surfacing, like the character line crease and the bottom of the doors. Looks great for a compact car either way!

Wow. Compared to this, the American version of the Focus looks like it's having a tantrum. :(

Too small a car for me but I have to admit it looks good. Beauty is only skin deep so better have a look at the engine and drivetrain to make sure it meets your specifications before you buy. I gave up on Ford after Ford had 3 strikes in a row with the Grand Marquis cars I used to drive,

LOL... You can't possibly compare american and european fords! The cars doesn't have anything in common... And if it took you three Grand Marquis to figure out they were bad, the joke is on you!

The european fords share platform and engines with Volvo and to a certain degree with Mazda. The present Focus is available with the 5-cylinder 2.2 liter turbo engine from Volvo delivering 220 horsepower... That thing is a rocket, I even considered buying one, but I didn't like what they'd done to the interior of the Focus ST... There is no doubt in my mind that the next Focus will be at least as good as the present one!
