New Mercedes-Benz C-Class Receives Environmental Certificate
The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class is the first car in this market segment to have an Environmental Certificate. The certification body of TÜV Süd Management Service GmbH has confirmed the saloon’s environmentally focused development, which results in further advances over the entire vehicle lifecycle in important areas such as fuel consumption, exhaust emissions and selection of materials. Mercedes-Benz is the only automotive brand worldwide to possess this hard-to-obtain certificate.

After careful assessment the experts of the German technical inspection authority TÜV determined that the development process of the new C-Class accords with the requirements of the internationally recognised ISO standard 14062. Applying the concept of “Design for Environment”, this standard governs the integration of environmental aspects into product design and development. In addition, TÜV checked and confirmed the data and statements contained in the environmental product information provided for the new C-Class. Mercedes-Benz has summarised this information in a brochure which will be available on the internet as of January 19, 2007

Do you really think new Merc looks more aggresive than the IS350??

I think this new C-Class will be setting the new standard for Class.

Yes, now these people are reminding me of AmazingBimmer/logical, bringing up how much they hate Audis in every non-Audi article in which they post.

To soft, not as aggressive as the other cars in it class. The Lexus IS350/F, A4/RS4, BMW 335i, Acura TL and Infiniti G35 make this new C-class MB look like a chick car.

Of course I might wrong because I have not seen all of it picture yet or the real production model.

Will, I went to my weekly sales meeting and an agent bought a brand new 2007 Mercedes-Benz CL550 Coupe with the AMG package in Obsidian Black Metallic, and Will I think you would walk around the car and drool like I did.

Uhh, Will, please, stop kidding yourself.

You KNOW the CL is the hottest luxury coupe on the market right now.

It's stunningly beautiful, exclusive, ultra-luxurious, and even the base CL550 can overtake 99% of the cars on the road.

You haven't seen it in person, obviously. I saw one without the AMG package (just a base model) at my local Mercedes dealer, and was blown away. It's ugly in Mercedes's photos, yes- but in person it's a totally different story. All I can say is, WOW. Great job Mercedes. Too bad I can't get it in convertible, because I wouldn't be able to give up having a convertible!

Saying it looks like a CL sedan (which is more or less the S-Class's role, but the new C looks moreso) is a huge compliment.

I like this design. This car, just like the old one will appeal to those who are more into the luxurious 'look' rather than the sportier ones ie: BMW, Audi. It probably will have similar performance and handling nevertheless. It appears to have a harmonious elegant look that will definitely appeal to women. There isn't anything brash or in-your-face about it. Let's see what AMG brings to the table.
