New Vw Golf VI gets 6 stars at the EuroNCAP safety tests

FYI Toyota Avensis and iQ are the first cars to receive the highest ratings in the newly revised EuroNCAP crash test standards. Suck on that.

There is no award of six stars. Whoever posted this, probably is paid by Volkswagen PR department.

EuroNCAP awarded Golf with five stars, score achieved by virtually every modern car tested nowadays by EuroNCAP.

It is true however that recently introduced Golf probably possesses highest overall score in the compact car group. Time will tell whether other compact cars recently introduced will be able to match this.

Excellent work VW. Better scores than any BMW in existence. VAG might have to bail out BMW.

Euro NCAP definitely does not award 6 stars. Although such an award scheme was under discussion a few years back, the latest rating system awards a maximum of 5 stars.
Golf VI was awarded 5 stars in 2008. However the rating was based on a now obsolete scheme and only referred to the adult occupant protection category. Euro NCAP has just released first result in the new rating scheme. http.//www.euroncap.com

Might have got top marks in the safety department but it looks slightly cheaper than it's predecessor, Cannot quite put my finger on exactly what is wrong but it just seems not as well engineered or Assembled, It even has the Exposed Rear Suspension like you see in the Civics and Focuses. This is something you never saw in the Mark V

So? Safest car they have tested so far. The Golf is rated safer than all of the following cars:
