New video commercial BMW 7 Series
Well, this is by far my favorite video of the new BMW 7 Series, the scenario is great, the surroundings are amazing, the new 7 Series looks damn hot on the road, while can still seem impressive, imposing and invulnerable.

The background music is perfect, it starts off slowly and then it builds up as soon as the new 7 reaches higher speeds on the road.

The opening scene with the Chicago bridge is quite stunning. All I can say is this: KUDOS BMW! Your marketing team is top notch and even though it might sound biased, since we are all bimmer lovers here, but the video it is truly amazing.

Can anyone else say that the new 7 Series looks terrible? I can't.

whoever built this Back to the Past needs a new hobby. We stop building these boats back in the early 1990's

Wow! Absolutely amazing. I'm somewhat at a loss for words, but I will try anyway. The video of the new BMW 7-Series is beautifully yet eerily similar to an actual car commercial, albeit without any performance driving, car sounds or information. It truly captures BMW's perception that it is lonely in the competitive segment in which it competes. The long, overhead shots of this vehicle driving one-speed for the whole duration, silently tells the audience, "I have cruise-control." The melodic musical accompaniment subconsciously and eloquently whispers, "You'll buy me anyway." BMW has lost their boastful and arrogant voices and has now become mute. Overall, the spooge of this commercial is like the orange residue of Cheetos on the fingers of America; unforgiving, salty and abundantly present on anyone that can command a paycheck.

For someone who is out of words you should have alot to say. I have to admit though that I'm starting to enjoy the shape of the new 7. I take back what I said about it in my previous posts, which were not positive, I'm even convinced that it's the best looking out of the bunch.

Amazing commercial....the song is just so German/European.

But the American car commercials? They just make me laugh.

I like the car, but why does the commercial start in Chicago and then abruptly transfer to some unspecified (but presumably European) locale? The plates on the car in the commercial are European and in one stretch, the vehicle is on the left side of the road while going uphill and around a corner. Is there a device to warn of oncoming traffic in daylight as well?
Anyway, I hope BMW brings in the 730d. I'd want one of those.

Absoulutely epic. I'm speechless. If I had to choose between the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7-Series, Audi A8, and Lexus LS, I'd have no idea between the Mercedes and the BMW. Honestly I've got no idea.

Looks much better in motion than in still photos. I think it is the colour that is throwing me off. I for one do not like that champagne gold colour so maybe that is one reason I do not like it, but in a dark gray or blue, perhaps black I can see it looking quite handsome. I wish it would have been a bit more different from the competitors in some styling cues, but overall this new BMW is gonna look the part, and you know it will handle awesome!

I agree re the colour. I can't stand champagne gold, it's a colour for people with no taste. 'I can't choose a nice colour, so I'll just choose the one that matches my living room carpet'.

Let us face the facts the BMW 7 series was going to get critized regardless of looks. The same will happen when CS, X3, 5 series, Z4, etc. are released.

But this happened with the E65/E66 7 Series too. People didn't like it at the beginning because it was too ugly. But the 7 Series started a range of new car designs, like the bangle but and iDrive. This car should also stand on top of the competition with dazzling new designs and features.

What am I missing?

I don't get this commercial. Is it (as someone else said above) a European thing, versus an American thing? Because I don't get it.

I mean it's nice enough, I guess, but the music seems like standard car commercial music, the setting seems standard scenery...

"Amazing"...? "Epic"...? "Speechless"...?

What did I miss?

I also don't get (like 204E60) why it starts with Chicago, but then immediately switchs to somewhere obviously not Chicago.

As for showcasing the car...there are some nice shots, but it didn't change my opinion about it, just reaffirmed my original assessment: nice but boring front, interesting side profile and details, weird (but less ugly than current generation) butt. Overall, I'd give it a B; not quite an A.
