Next Alfa 166 - The New Alfa Romeo 169
The 169 is a replacement to the aging 166. It is expected to feature a rear-wheel-drive platform derived from Maserati. All this in 2009, when it will hit the market. The Alfa 169 might have the same engine as the 8C Competizione.

I kind of dig it but I like the smaller 159 much more. Now if they can transform that car into a rwd vehicle, that would be something.

That is totally cool, what a great design. I hope they sell it in the US.

I've always admired the Alfa's on my trips to Europe and thought they'd be a worthy competitor to Audi, Volvo, or the high end VW's. They'd have to be priced right though.

Wow this new 169 will be hot, I think hotter than the renderings for sure, cause when you see the actual car in the transport truck, check out the wheel arches! Alfa will have a stylistic hit on its hands. I just hope they have excellent quality now and then it needs to bring this and a few other models back to US, cause if they do, I will be there with cash in hand!

@nybimmer

No alfa's are crap, there reliability is awful and they aren't worth anyting just after a few jears. I know it cause i live in europe.

You don't buy an Alfa using common sense or logic, but with your heart. If you want one, nothing else will do, but if you don't, just buy something else.

For some reason I just can't force myself to like the cars front end. The rest of it is great though.
