One would assume that the GT-R was already a development of the Nissan 'Spec-V' philosophy.

More To Come...

That should be good enough to beat the 500+hp 997 GT2 and F430 Scuderia at half their price. But will it be good enough to run with the 600+hp ZR-1 and Viper?

The GT-R is truely rewriting the supercar guidelines. Can't wait for V-Spec 2, Nur?, and Z-Tune

Right now as it stands until the Vette and Viper can beat 7:38 around the Ring the you have to say that the GTR rules not in just acceration but also in handling. The ring really tests a cars overall ability. But don't think that Porsche is sitting on their hands doing nothing. I don't think it would take very much to tweek a 911 Turbo to make up 2 seconds over a 14 mile course. You know 50 pounds here or there, changing tires, lighter seats etc. could easily make it up and perhaps beat the GTR again. But you have to give it to Nissan. For the price of a base 911 Carrera they have a remarkable accomplishment.I must say though I'm not in love with the video game interior. I guess they had to cut corners some where to keep the car under 80 grand.

In order for the GTR to be faster then the 911 turbo it will need to have quite abit more power since it weighs more and there is a significant power loss in the long driveshaft to the rear wheels however bang for the buck you can't beat it. Good Job Nissan.

What did I said a last week? Nissan will is rumor to have upper model of the Nissan GT-R with 550+hp. This upper model is aiming at model like the upcoming Lexus LF-A 570+hp and Honda NSX.

Where is Sevor now? what do you have to said buddy? If Nissan truly come out a more powerful version of the GT-R, than it will sure beat the Porsche GT2 for sure.

Great Job nissan

I wouldn't be surprise when this upper model of the Nissan GT-R set a new world record again around the famous track.

But of course when will hear bitching and moaning how it just a Nissan. This lighter and more powerful Nissan GT-R will beat the Porche GT2.

Sure, but somehow with all that weight it was able to beat the 911T. Now just imagine when the SPEC-V comes out...It might just run out of competitors to beat.

Speechless after the release of the Nurburing timing.
Truely a bargin in price vs performance. One more reason to make the big guys work for their money.
Porsche can easily up their game, currently the turbo is running on a 3.6 liter and do they have a 3.8 handy. I want to see how Porsche is gonna market their product after the release of GTR in the states.
Still sour looking at GTR non-manual gearbox. The exterior is different, not a big fan of BIG sized sport cars, drive a truck then...

Oh, don't worry more supercars, the GT-R got reinforcement. Even thought they different company all of this car are from Japan, Lexus LF-A 570+hp, Honda NSX with 550+ hp and Toyota Supra 480hp.

Ah...it feel good at the end of day knowing that the Nissan GT-R has return and reclaim it Crown.

I said it again, the more I read and watch the Nissan GT-R handle, the more I feel in love with it.

And the more you want it? If you could afford an IS350, you could probably stretch to the GT-R. That's the beauty of such performance for such a low price.
