Nissan GTR video review
As more GT-R super coupes make their way out of Japan, more and more video reviews are starting to crop up. This latest clip comes from UK’s Fifth Gear and has race driver Jason Plato behind the wheel of the GT-R tarmac terror.

The driver shows just how easy it is to push the car to its limits and just makes us want one even more. The final verdict: "We like it. We like it a lot."

I don't want to sound like a popinjay with all you GT-R lovers, but I find it astonishing how Nissan could design a car that looks as ugly as the Toyota Supra.

It baffles my mind!

So now the Toyota Supra is ugly too? Tell me something. What do YOU like? Or do you just hate anything coming out of Japan?

Hey, the Nissan GT-R as a great engine and tranny, but the body is obnoxious :-(

There is nothing mechanically outstanding about the GT-R...it's all in the software. DSG...well they sure wasn't the first company to design and use it. Yeah it's fast but not faster than Ferrari. It would be nice to see how if fares against BMW's 7 speed DSG. Nissan has mastered putting power to the pavement through software and as such made a car that can drive 120 mph and make it feel like your driving at 60. How exciting...no drama...no thrill...just speed like you were watching it on a video screen...hmmm!..can't wait. About all this car is offering me is bragging rights...at a discount! I could car less if I get deboosted to hell....Nissan is losing money on every car they sell because that kind of performance...no matter how you look at it doesn't come cheap...there's always a price to pay...this go round it's Nissan...soon it will be you!

This KrautBoy loves the GT-R.

It's a "Baby Veryron" For Christ-Sakes!! 11.7 in the 1/4, 0-60 in the mid 3's!

I even like how it looks. I can see myself getting one in about 3 years. And at that time they'll have a lighter faster "v-spec" model available.

The GT-R is a GOD!!!!

You got to read the comparison test between the GT-R and the R8(link Below). It's one of the funniest articles that I've read in a while.

From said article:

"...But what matters more: how quickly you get where you're going or the quality of the experience as you're doing it?...." -quality of the experience is what most people on this board know nothing about.

"...The experience. And that's why the R8 just shades it - because it rewards driver input. In the Nissan, you get the feeling that the car could probably go even faster if it didn't have you, a mere human being, dicking about at the wheel. The GT-R is part car, part Terminator..." -kinda poetic because in T2 the terminator LOOKED like the perfect father figure...but in the end he was just a souless machine.

"...The R8 is fantastic in a way that will appeal more to true car enthusiasts; lithe, agile, beautifully engineered. It's even got soul,..." -no one ever said that about a GT-R!

That was one of the funny parts that I was talking about. I can't argue their decision to give it to the R8 , its just that while reading the article they seemed really excited about the GT-R.

It was only the last few paragraphs were they gave it to the R8 on a highly subjective matter IMO. The GT-R on paper, on the track, and on the road was the faster vehicle. I guess after a point the actual speed itself isn't what causes the excitement? Either that, or the GT-R was out of their league.

Nissan will get to soon say..."our supercar is better than your supercar!!!" And with all rights I might add! Well done. It's good looking, but even if you don't like the appearance, it will spank ur azz on the track, and you can't take that title away!!

"-quality of the experience is what most people on this board know nothing about."

Here's for quality. Getting a faster laptime and laying the smack on the R8 that cost $45k more is a priceless experience.
