In spite of the global economic crisis, the Japanese carmaker Nissan has increased its staff by 150 new personnel due to the scrappage scheme. This is good news for the company which was forced to cut 1200 job months earlier because of poor sales performance.

The newly hired hands will be employed on short-term contracts only. The Nissan Qashqai is listed among the top 10 best-selling vehicles in the UK, which is a good signal for the economy of Britain since all the Qashqai models are manufactured at the Sunderland facility of Nissan. The company is truly delighted with the performance of their mini-SUV and says that its success is a boost for UK manufacturing and economy.
