Nissan offers owners bird's eye view of their car

Nissan has developed a new parking assists system it calls the Around View Monitor, which will offer drivers a bird’s eye view of their car and surroundings in real-time.

The set-up uses four ultrawide-angle resolution cameras mounted on the front, sides and rear of the vehicle, which combine to give a complete 360-degree view around the vehicle.

Nissan was also the first to offer a rearview camera, on the 2002 Q45.

yep and it only became a big thing when Lexus offered it on the LS430 one year later. Nissan has had a larger number of firsts that they are not recognized for.

that's because Nissan seems to value its engineers and the innovative ideas they bring, even if at times they are a bit odd or crazy, not like some other penny pinching, marketing driven, inspiration depraved, bs companies we all don't like to talk about here.

Actually, Lamborghini used to give a rear view camera option in the 90s on the Diablo. I would assume they were the first company to do it.
