Nissan vehicles put out more carbon emissions
While Toyota reduced its average emissions rate by 3 percent over the last 15 years, Nissan had the biggest increase in carbon emissions rate. According to Environmental Defense, an advocacy group based in Washington, carbon emissions for Nissan’s 2005 fleet rose 9.2 percent from 1990 as the company added more light trucks with poor fuel-economy.

“Since the end of this report in 2005, we have added the subcompact Nissan Versa, Altima Hybrid and flex-fuel-capable trucks,” Nissan spokeswoman Jeannine Ginivan said in an e-mail to the Detroit Free Press....

U.S. states and Canadian provinces should not have any power to legislate on emissions -- that mandate should rest solely with the federal government. Ditto for energy conservation. There are too many duplications among the feds and jurisdictions that make up the federation -- these duplications cost the taxpayer a mint.

It isn't all that straight-forward. Global ******* warming or global dimming.. all rubbish. I couldn't care less. Germany's black wood emits an equal amount of CO2 than 3 million cars..

When you say black wood do you mean the black forest? Because last time I checked tree's absorbed carbon and turned it into oxygen, and didn't pump it out into the atmosphere.

I'm sorry Black Forest is indeed what I meant.

And you are right about the tree's too, but they also emit carbon. Much like the bog in the Netherlands that emit CO2 equally of 5 million cars.

Tree's absorb more CO2 than they emit - they use Co2 for photosynthesis.
