If you were to looking to drive a car that oozes Americana, I think it's tough NOT to pick the Dodge Viper ACR. Sure there's some European components in it, but it's pretty hard to argue that it's not a gnarly supercar with a bit of an attitude.

While the standard vehicle has been having a tough time selling — Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) actually dropped its price — we don't think it'll have much trouble pushing out the ACR version. For years, the ACR has earned a reputation for being one serious, serious ride.

Equipped with an 8.4-liter V10 good for 645 horsepower and 600 lb.-ft. of torque, we're pretty sure rocketing around the track will not be problematic. In addition, the vehicle features a bevy of weigh saving touches to make it a bit more raw and spritely.

While I could wax poetic about its features, I'll just cut to the chase. For this hand-built beauty, you'll need to have quite a bit of dough to burn. We're talking about a starting price of $117,895*.

Order banks are open but FCA did not mention a cap on how many are to be built. Cars are slated to enter production in Q3 2015 and will ship in the same period as well.
