The miracle finally happened! Porsche revealed today the diesel-version of its popular SUV! The new Cayenne Diesel comes with a 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel engine (found on current Audi vehicles) developing 240 hp (176 kW) and an impressive 550 Nm of torque. With this new upgrade the vehicle has a fuel consumption of just 9.3 liters per 100 kilometers, with CO2 at 244 grams per kilometer.

The new Porsche Cayenne Diesel will be available from February 2009, equipped with the proven Tiptronic-S automatic gearbox as standard, with a price tag of €47,250 ($59,400). In Germany, the vehicle will cost, including 19 percent VAT and country-specific equipment costs €56,436 ($70,941).Unfortunately the new Cayenne model will initially be offered in Europe but the manufacturer said that preparations for market introduction in other countries are underway
