Many of you folks were waiting for it, now its finally here: this is the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class 4MATIC, a new model from the German manufacturer equipped with permanent all-wheel-drive system!

As you may know already, most of the Mercedes-Benz passenger cars are equipped with a rear-wheel drive system but the new E-Class promises to deliver more safety than ever with the 4MATIC system, featuring a 45:55 torque split between the front and rear axles and a multi-disc limited-slip centre differential with a basic locking torque of 50 Nm. But this is not all! The system is also able to shift the drive torque between the front and rear axles, varying the split between 30:70 and 70:30 as the road conditions dictate.
