Official: 2011 Kia Cadenza

That's because they are one in the same. The Santa fe for example is the same thing as the Kia Sorento, same frame, body styles, engines, etc.

This is probably either a cousin of the Azera or new Sonata.

It looks (and sounds) like a 10 y/o Deawoo Leganza.
I'll miss the Amanti, at least it was so comical to look at.

I would say this is the first good looking and quite original design from Kia. The new 2.4l 200BHP Direct Injection engine also seems very good.

FYI 1: The Amanti (Opirus) is still in production.
FYI 2: The Cadenza shares the same frame with the new YF Sonata and the newly developing Hyundai Azera will also share this same frame. The Cadenza should have been released before the YF Sonata; however, the arrival of Kia's new chief designer Peter Schreyer meant that they had to go back and develop the Cadenza back from square one.
FYI 3: The Cadenza's Korean market version name is K7. Starting with the K7, Kia will be naming its cars in the Korean market starting with the alphabet K, which stands for Kia, Korea, Kratos, and Kinetic. Thus, the newly developing Lotze (Optima) will be called the K5, and the next generation Forte will likely be named the K3. Kia is developing a new Equus-sized sedan which will likely be named K9, and the next generation Amanti will likely be named the K8.

HyundaiSmoke, I agree with your comment.
As you may know, the current Amanti is smaller than the Equus. I have read a Korean article that reports Kia is developing an Equus-sized 4.0L-plus car that is likely be named the K9. But observing that the Equus is a 4.6L and the Equus Limousine is a 5.0L car, the Hyundai-Kia Automotive Group may be marketing K9 to have a similar size as the Equus, while having a smaller engine. Otherwise the Hyundai-Kia will have a difficult time with its cannibalism.
Therefore, with the smaller engine than the Equus, Kia may replace the Amanti with the K9, and not the K8. There are rumors in Korea that K8 will be in production though. However, I don't work for Hyundai-Kia, so I am still curious to what will happen :)

Wonder what sort of incentives the Korean gov't will be providing inorder to move this.
