Official: Audi Q5 unveiled
Finally, the Audi A5 made its debut officially! Combining the dynamism of a sports sedan with highly variable interior the sportiest SUV from the German manufacturer measures 4.63 meters long and 1.88 meters wide. With just 1.65 meters high the SUV sets another benchmark in its class with a low drag coefficient of 0.33. A large package of high-end technologies makes the Audi Q5 driving experience even more fascinating. The optional control system Audi drive select guides the operation of various technology components and is available in several upgrade variants.

At the touch of a button, the driver determines whether the system should work in a comfortable, an especially well balanced or a sporty mode. The MMI operating system offers a fourth mode, which can be individually programmed.

Ahh front end cant be more boring and plain. Look at the boring headlights, horrendous grille and oversized bumper scoops/fog lights section. Rear end is better styled. Overall an OK looking SUV. I expected a lot more from Audi in exterior design.

I agree it looks fantastic especially the interior (much better that the Tiguan) but I still have no idea if the Quattro still uses a Torsen® center differential.

It uses whatever the A4 uses - proper Quattro.

Read the article.
Its full-time AWD with a rear bias.
and REAL AWD ... not like the Lexus RX based on a bloated up Camry with a lift kit ... you can take Audis off-road without worrying about breaking things (not that you'd choose any of these if your primary application was off-roading)

Nice looking machine! Even better looking than the Q7. I think we finally have a contender in the looks department for this class of vehicle. To me it makes the X3 & RDX look cheaper & out-dated...especially the X3.

Better than Q7, but a lot like Q7 and Touareg as well (almost a mini-Touareg ... moreso than Tiguan).
I'm SO glad they didn't succumb to that nasty Japanese trend with the inverted glass-line (bottom of rear windows curve up) that is a new law in Asia these days.
Ever since the 1973 Datsun 610 (and the '70 Camaro) most Japanese concept cars have featured this, but they kept it out of production till now (for good reason)

Personally, I prefer to see what I'm backing into or over when reversing ... call me strange, but I like to be able to see out of my car.
The Q5 is both stylish and practical at once ... something very rare these days.

I like and respect Audi, but I feel that they are going to far with this grill thing and the design is too fadish,it will not age gracefully. "In" and "fad" vehicles are nice at first but get boring if you see them after long periods of time, this crossover thing has already gone too far,,,, I would take the GLK in a heartbeat.........

The only "fadish" thing about Audi's grill is the fact that many in the industry have copied it in one way or another (Mitsubishi being the main one). Anyhow I think its about time to accept it as a trend because what the "shield grill" is to Audi is what the "kindney grill" is to BMW.

It looks beautiful, but the reflectors below the rear lights look disgusting. Seriously, it ruins the whole car for me..

Really? I've always thought the large reflectors on the Q7 kind of "finished" the look of the rear.

Just proves styling is subjective. :) I personally hate them...

Munich.. small difference. Kidney gril has been honed for 70-80 years and signifies performance and best in class engineering. the big ass shield gril has been in place for 2 years and signifies, derivative styling and hand me down technology from a state funded, ailing parent. Big difference. the roundel is appraching the three pointed star and coke as far as brand pwer goes. the shield is approaching the Nisaan badge in terms of stature and evoqing passion.

amazinilyuglybimmer you fail to mention that Audi completely and utterly out does BMW on style! Of course that is not hard, indeed a very low aim, but for one who names himself 'Bimmer' I would have thought you would be wise enough to be very quiet about criticizing absolutely any brand on style after all the atrocities BMW has produced!

I think it looks better without the ugly chrome grill. Take a look at these:
