Official: Brabus unveils 730 hp convertible

Based on the facelifted Mercedes SL, the new vehicle received the same engine as the Brabus Rocket, the Brabus SV12S Biturbo engine capable to deliver an astonishing 730 hp and 1,320 Nm of torque.

With that amount of power the sprint from 0-100 km/h is made in 4.0 seconds, 0-200 in 10.5 seconds and limited top speed to 350 km/h. The technic specs makes the Brabus roadster one of the world’s fastest sports cars. Press release after the jump!

And strangely I wont buy this car for its power, but for the luxury and confort. Is a great car (not necessarily the Brabus version, but any version with at least 500 bhp), and the other car makers are far away from bringing something to compete with the SL.

I agree. No other company has anything to truly compete with the SL. I mean there is the XK and the 6 series but none are luxurious as an SL. However, the 6 series and XK are stunningly beautiful cars. The 6 series interior isn't my favorite and the XK's look too simple for the price you pay. In a Jaguar, I expect more....something like the XF.
