Official: New Lotus is called Evora
Lotus has revealed the new name of its latest model, a 2+2 GT that made its official debut today at the London Motor Show.

The car will from now be known as the ‘Evora’ (named after a city in Portugal) and it joins the ranks of Lotus’ existing models, including the Elise, Exige and Europa.

The new Evora is the first all-new car from Lotus since the introduction of the Elise back in 1995, and it’s the only sports car on the market with a mid-engine layout and a 2+2 seating configuration.

Looks like a Tesla knock-off. Collin Chapman will be disappointed.

Know your stuff before blogging!. Ofcourse it looks like a Tesla. Tesla is actually a lotus elise. Lotus sells the chassis and body parts to Tesla, who then assembles them here. Just go to google and type "Tesla Lotus"

This car will have the performance and handling that Lotus is renowned for, but I am just not feeling the styling, looks like an oversized Elise to me.

Mid engine and 2+2? there won't be much space in the back seats. They should have done a 2 seater instead, or just do a front engine, if they wanted to keep the 2+2 configuration.

It doesn't look as nice as the Elise, but I'll wait to see it when actually comes out
