Porsche tuning specialist Techart has revealed new details on its Cayenne V6 Diesel, Stuttgart’s first-ever production diesel model.
The German company, which only had its debut at the Geneva Salon in early 2009, said that its comprehensive tuning program covers engine and chassis conversions to interior and aerodynamic styling upgrades. Buyers will be able to purchase Techart’s Cayenne as new or added to existing vehicles. Let’s examine the improvements to the engine. Techart’s power kit enhances the output of the Cayenne’s 3.0-liter diesel from 240HP to 290HP. The kit also allows the peak torque to rise from 550Nm to 630Nm (465 lb-ft) at 2,200 rpm, with more than 500Nm being available from around 1,100 rpm to beyond 4,000 rpm. Techart further claims that 0 to 60mph sprint time drops from 8.3 seconds to 7.7 seconds; however, CO2 emissions and fuel consumption on the combined cycle remain unchanged at 244g/km and 30.4mpg UK (9.3lt/100 km or 25.3mpg US) respectively.
