I hooked up my accelerator to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.

Officially Official: 2008 Saab 9-3 Sedan, SportCombi & Convertible
We have been purposely staying away from all those 2008 Saab 9-3 photos popping up because we’ve been waiting for the official release from Saab itself; and here it is. Saab today officially unveiled the new Saab 9-3 Sedan, SportCombi and the Convertible.

The Saab 9-3 Sedan and SportCombi come with three different choices of a gasoline, diesel or bioethanol engine. The range topper Aero model comes with an all-aluminum 2.8 liter V6 turbocharged engine producing 280 horsepower.

The Saab 9-3 Convertible range topper is powered by a 2.8 liter V6 turbocharged engine produced 255 horsepower.

The most appealing thing about the 2008 Saab 9-3 lineup is the Aero X-inspired front end. Click through for the full press release and images....

I love that front-end. It's as striking as any BMW, without looking like a demon-inspired Holiday.

HEY! I'd like the front spoiler for my Cupra back please!!! It looks good though! VERY aggresive. But I wouldn't own a Saab... People would just think I'm a lawyer (no offense S4) or a dentist or something! Only boring people drive saabs... Sorry, but that is the truth - at least it is in europe!

Dentists ALWAYS drive Saabs.
It's like a calling for them.
100hp/litre ain't so bad either.

Oh, believe me, I know the lawyer clichés. That's why I'd be reluctant to get an M3 or 911, because people don't realize that for me, they're not just status symbols.

LOL... Then try being a sailor... Most people think I'm lieing when i say i'm a sailor because i don't look like an alcoholic and don't weigh 250+ lbs... Hell, I don't even have a tatoo... And when I try to explain to them that it is a long and very hard education with a 30% success rate, they seem even more sceptic... But luckily, there aren't really any clichés about what seafarers drive, so I can drive whatever I want without anybody saying "That is SOOOO sailor'ish" :D

Well a Boat is a pretty good indication you're a sailor...

Well... I don't drag a 150.000 tonnes boat around all the time... Actually, most people I know have never seen one of the boats I sail on in real life... And Only 5-6 of my friends have seen me on a boat...

That front looks good, but something doesnt gel right with the rest of the car. To me, it looks awkward (which I suppose might be on purpose, it is a Saab afterall). I just wish they would make that interior more Saab, and less GM. The climate, Nav and other trim bits look straight out of any GM product.

The exterior looks good but the lack of interior pics makes this just another stupid teaser.

Wow Enn, A teaser? With all those pictures?

Saab don't need to release interior photos because it is the same as the current 9-3.

Well I confess I am a dentist and I do love the new Saab convertible. However, I only know one dentist who drives a Saab. Many drive MB and Lexus.

Of course Dr. dentist drive other cars, but we use to look at the paper work since not that many Saab's came in for trade and found many were owned by dentist. The conv was always a popular car with them for trade don't know why, it just seemed Saab=dentist for some reason.

I guess it is kinda funny you mention that chuck because I bought a new car a couple of months ago and the Saab 3 convertible was in the running! I'm glad I didn't buy it though, because I would already want the newly styled one next year.

I think that professional people like to be different a lot of the times, and certainly a top down Saab can look very nice but not be your cookie cutter look, to take a phrase from the housing lingo.
The Saab for next year looks good if that is what you get it, life is short Dr. good luck
