What an idiot. P.Diddy, daddy, papa diddy pop is so lame. He'll lose money. Its real hard to put dubs and spinners on a formula 1 car.

While I do not like Mr Coombs I think it will be wise to look at all other ventures that he has invested in.

Bad Boy Did Well
Sean John Did Very Well
Justins Restaurant Is Doing Fine

Now i really do not think he will venture into the F1 scene without some very experienced partners.

Rappers can be very crass sometimes but they are not all complete Tossers

Would you have made the same spinners joke if the article had been about Mr Trump thinking about an F1 team Purchase?

I would think Mr Trump is a much more Crass and Blinged up Attention Seeker than Mr Coombs
(Anyone who has been in a Trump Building would understand what i mean)

I would have made the same joke if it had been Donald Trump. He's in real estate, Puffy is in music, an F1 team for either one of them would just be another ego stroke.
I used to work as a music promoter here in Chicago. Bad Boy does okay and admittedly Sean Jean does very well, I haven't been to his restaurant so I can't speak on that. My point is that he needs to stick to music and clothes rather than racing. Racing will burn money faster than any bad record or bad clothing season.

For years the rich and famous have invested in motorsports. In fact we shoudl be promoting this full heartedly. It brings the spotlight to a sport which in the states is watched by few, respected by many, and covered in a very limited way.

He has the connections, the cash, and for all we know the passion. Let him loose, and let him lose.

Josh

p.s. I hope I regret saying lose, and he actually finds success. I don't think he is nearly the dbag he is made out to be. He makes a living selling what he can, when he can. It was the late mid/late 90's so he sold rap, and the novelties which are associated with rap.

"He's just trying to get by"..........Yeah, aren't we all. The only problem is, its who you know and not what you're about these days. Any Dbag can sell anything with a label if the right marketing is used. I would say great if it was leno buying a F1 team, but just because Pdiddy woke up one morning and humoured the idea doesn't mean its fitting. Guys like leno appreciate cars, Pdiddy just wants his name on everything.

at least think about it, he actually puts money into a sport, others may put it into drinking drugs and something else,

With all the money he's raking in from MTV with Making the Band, Run's House, etc. plus all his other companies, I'd say this man has plenty of money to funnel into a successful F1 venture.

Sole owner of Red Bull is not exactly true.

It seems perfectly reasonable he could raise the kind of money needed to fund an F1 team.

F1 is on the verge of getting rid of privateer teams. this guy is about 5 years late.
