I've never seen an X6 without tinted windows. They should be a mandatory "option".— Agent004 (View Profile)

I know, I know...I'm beating a dead horse (sorry PETA!)but I just can't get over who much the 7 looks like an LS from the rear. BUT...once again the interior looks great (loved the last one too, with that unfinished wood dash, reminded me of those Ticonderoga #2 pencils in grade school! haha!)— StarSearch (View Profile)

Unfortunately I'm gonna have to beat this dead horse as well. These photos confirm that the 7 looks too much like the LS. Ok, I'm done hitting the poor horse.— E36er (View Profile)

Some may say the Lexus copy the 7, I forget the actual model number but the rear pays hommage to the 1990 7 series— Jaybrn (View Profile)

Jaybrn, I think it's only because of the swooped up LEDs in the rears just like the LS's, although for quite some time the 3 and 5 series had ones that went straight across. Now add in the exhaust (which I'm not sure if BMW ever implemented either in shape or INTO the bumper)and the similiarities can't be ignored.— StarSearch (View Profile)

I only see the exhaust being a similarity. The lights are different enough that you shouldn't confuse them, at least by these pictures— M35MT (View Profile)

Take a look at that 7-Series Instrument Panel. It would seem to be a bit disconcerting to sit in the passenger seat. It would seem to feel like sitting in front of a retaining wall. Perhaps there should be a 'bulls-eye' on the passenger side airbag cover. Can't wait to hear the actual impressions of sitting in the car and driving the car - I'm not sold on the package yet.— nybimmer (View Profile)

Not really - I have a 328i hardtop/cabriolet that I like very much (aside from the meager trunk room when the top is down) and an S550. I sadly miss the days of the older BMW's - the E30 3-series was I think the high point of the marque, followed by the design leadership of the late 80's early 90's 5/7 series. I think the current x5 is pretty great - though I think the x6 is pretty pointless.I also think the addition of run-flat tires across the board has diminished the driving experience - though on paper, the cars may deliver better performance numbers they just clomp over bumps now, shaking the car's structure. I've never before seen the new 750's IP from the passenger side, and I have to say, it seems, in my opinion to loom across the dashboard with all the grace of a brick wall. Perhaps it was the camera angle.— nybimmer (View Profile)

I love it. The press pictures were terrible as expected but I think this car will be stunning in black or a metallic gray.— S4cabriofoxone (View Profile)

Yeah possibly in black, maybe white, but overall the new 7 is just a quirky looking machine. Sure it's very sleek but overall it's just ruined by the taillight design & dated front end.Seriously the front end of the 7 looks so bland in that sand beige color, it reminds me of an E39 5-series (Last gen 5er) just with a bigger grill...Dated to say the least.— MunichRob (View Profile)
