This car is not stupid, it’s just a symbol of status. The wealthy ones does not drive, they ride in the back seat. For the price of the 5 in China, you will be able to afford at least a 745Li in the states. Or even better a LS460L and have money left over for rear executive seating!!

MDalle – What you said was messed up, but at least you showed signs of apology.

utahkid – You must be the funny one huh? Don’t try to make excuses for stereotype or racist comments. Dave Chappelle is on Comedy Central not Autospies, nice try bro! Lucky you’re over in Utah, if you come to mixed cities such as LA or NY you’re going to get knocked out quick. It’s a shame that you don’t care if people makes fun of your type, but there’s people your type that would mind. Don’t try to be a smart ass and play it cool, you must have no sense of self pride and living in the world of Cheech and Chong. By the way, Cali greens are wayyyy better!!

Sweet, maybe this BMW will make it in my driveway.

BTW, my neighbor down the street just bought a new Rolls-Royce Phanton.

The Ultimate Passenger Machine the 5 is not; but perhaps the Chinese market will see things differently. To me, a long wheel base 5 seems like, well, a stretch. For all the things BMW does well, they have some catching up to do with when it comes to uber-luxury pampering, especially with the 5. Being chauffeured in the back-seat means you *want* the isolation, plush appointments and couch on wheels feel that M-B and Lexus are known for; not the rigid, business-only and connected to the road philosophy that BMW applies to the appointments in this car.

Yeah sure...the GS has the smallest back seat of its class.
Does not even have folding rear seats...trunk space?
What trunk space?
Full size spare??? oh wait...it has a temporary spare...
You want trunk space and rear seat...check out the A6.

Instead of buying aLexus why not buy a Buick Lucerne
and have more space and have money left over to buy a
Mark Levinson home audio system?

Those are more expensive cars. In China the A6, 5 series class is most popular for the richer people. But they can't afford the A8 or the 7 series, that is why Audi has been making a longer China only A6 for several years already and BMW joins Audi with the 5 li.

LOL... Thats a chinese dude, they are like 4ft tall... I don't think there will be much room for my 6ft something in there, buy a freaking 7-series Li if you want a BMW with extra rear leg room!

-----

That was a stupid comment. Very stereotypical of you to say such an idiotic comment. I'm surprised you even said something that dumb that i'm lost for words. If you were here in person I would've knocked you out. Grow up f*cken moron. Show some respect. Your 6 feet something does not justify why you're 6mm pinner is so.. uh pinner?

By the way it is a stereotype, although on average Chinese people are shorter doesn't make all of them shorter.

Thanks for backing me on this one agent63. But hey guys, it's not a big deal. You make it sound like I had an overblowned reaction. My response was only 3 lines long. Anyway, i had "a" reaction b/c it just pisses me off when people can make racist comments about asian people, yet they are afraid to make them when its about black people. And sure, of course there are comedians who make fun of racial groups, and thats fine. But that's their jobs! But if many random people do it, its just not right. You don't see people going around using the n word. In addition, ok, chinese people as a whole are shorter, but you don't exploit that fact. If that's alright, then should be able to call all you white americans, fatasses. I bet if i made that comment I would get a sh*t load of responses. anyway, its cool. im over it.

A "Hey, that's not cool" is going to get my attention a lot better than swearing the guy out. MDalle is a good poster here and I take his side over yours, even if he made a bad joke. You've been a peach about this, not!

Not enough to justify the price. That looks like it has the same amount of legroom as a normal 5er.
