Last week we published a study by R.I. Polk revealing that most hybrid owners would not purchase another  hybrid vehicle the next time around.

One reason might be is that the owners found, even with more expensive gasoline, it would take years to pay back the extra cost of the vehicle.

While diesels might not be quite as expensive to purchase outright, there is no arguing the extra cost of fuel in the long term equation might be a significant factor for some.  So we wanted to conduct our own non-scientific survey to see if current diesel owners fall into the same opinion group.
