In 2003, the Volvo XC90 took the premium SUV market by storm. Prior to its launch, few thought that such an unconventional SUV from a brand that had never built an SUV before would cut the mustard, especially against the stiff competition of BMWs X5 and Mercs ML. But to the surprise of many, it sold like hotcakes, quickly becoming and holding the title of North Americas most popular European SUV. To date, North Americans have gobbled up an excessive number of XC90s, and to ensure that they continue to do so, Volvo will be unveiling its first major update.

could either of you be more ignorant? I agree - volvos are not the luxury car they wish they could be, but they dont NEED to be. I think I see more volvos on the streets than most any other brand. People are attracted to the reliability, the simple styling, and the SAFETY. you will NOT find a safer car than a volvo. They are made to last and the gas mileage makes them well worth it. I dont think that there are too many people that share your desire to destroy all volvos - I know I certainly dont.
