Pagani working on road legal version of Zonda R
The 641-hp Pagani Zonda F has taken the title from the Porsche Carrera GT as the fastest production car to lap the Nurburgring doing it in 7:27:82 (Carrera GT did it in 7:28). With the help of Mercedes-Benz’s AMG division Pagani hopes to offer a 750-hp version badged the Pagani Zonda R. Pagani only plants to build 6 units of the Zonda R which will take only 10% of the components from the Zonda F.
Now Pagani is getting ready to launch a road-legal version of the Zonda R called the Zonda Cinque (Cinque means 5 in Italian). And yes that means they will only build 5 units. The Pagani Zonda Cinque is expected to be powered by...

Pagani is simply fantastic. However, enjoy the trophy while you can, because the V-Godzilla is coming soon!

What is the V-Godzilla? I guess I'm not a fan boy so I can't understand. But sounds Japanese to me. What..the LF-A? GT-R? has to be one of those.
No Japanese car will have the soul, the howl and the sense of occasion of a Pagani so don't get it twisted. Japanese make awesome cars and I will never take that away from them but a Nissan will never be a Pagani. Anyone can put turbo's and put in lots of performance parts to make a car go fast but it's the feeling you get when you drive it that really matters.
I know i'm off topic but I'm sure I'll get deboosted by them fan boys.
By the way gave you a boost for saying Pagani is fantastic. Not many in the world will get to own one of these Zonda's.

so in another words, your image conscious, brand prejudice, subconscious mind is overwhelming you to "love" and appreciate the "soul" of the Zonda and at the same "hate" a Japanese supercar...

No one is trying to twist anything. My reference is Nurburgring lap time, simple and objective.
I don't necessarily think an MR certainly has a soul or a 4WD does not. It depends on how you drive it and how close you push it to the limit. I personally think my G has more personality than my 3, which, being a great car, feels sterile, and almost "souless".
Everyone has a soul, and everyone is not the same.

Agent63: please answer this dumb question: what heritage does Pagani have? what racing history does Pagani have? Does Pagani produce their own engines? transmissions? or just a sheet metal?
oh wait, that question is not so dumb anymore, at least not to you.

Pagani is a manufacturer of sports cars and carbon fibre. You guys put down Pagani like it's nothing.
I never said the GT-R isn't a good car because it's brilliant. But you guys don't have to be so offended.
There's nothing wrong with a Japanese super car because I thought the NSX, Supra, RX-7 were great cars. With the latest addition, the GT-R is another Japanese great.
I'm not image conscious but the name super car is viewed differently in my head. I grew up looking at Porsche's, Ferrari's, Lamborghini's not a Nissan GT-R and you can't blame me because up here in Canada we never had any of those around. But as a fact, the GT-R lacks the sound of a European super car, which I love. All of us can relate to this. Who doesn't love a great sounding howl or growl?.
I've already given the GT-R credit for it's performance and bang for buck value. But it doesn't mean I have to be a fan boy and adore every aspect of the car and defend it until my dying day.
Put it this way:
If I was to ever buy a Japanese SUPER CAR it would be the GT-R or if Honda decided to make another NSX that performed great.

In other news, the rich men of the world have found one more way to kill themselves....
Hopefully Pagani will only sell this to people that would use it instead of just garaging it.

The GT-R just lost against the BMW M3 and you are comparing it to a Zonda??? Ha, ha, ha...A boy racer Japanese car against a fantastic supercar? How delusional is that?

Lets not be so harsh on the GT-R now. Comparing the GT-R to the M3 was already wrong to begin with. Remember comparing apples to apples. A Pagani and a Nissan are both built with different purposes.

Agent63: not everyone has an R8 like you!!! you lucky son of a gun.
I don't think youre image conscious like the fellow said but you werent born into a world where GT-R's are a common sight so i can't blame you for that. You also praised the GT-R so who cares what people think!
I personally love the LF-A more than the GT-R. The GT-R is a little too tamed in term of looks. They should have made it sound like a LF-A or an IS-F. To me it's just another fast Nissan that has no wow factor to it's styling.

And you chuckle as if you have driven one yourself and know what an owner looks for when purchasing a car of this level.
And this thread is talking about a road legal version of Zonda R so how can you say someone won't pickup a suit or dress at a local dry laundry?

The Pagani is my favorite super car. The exhaust sound is intoxicating and it has its own unique look. I can't wait to see what kind of performance this new rendition puts out.
