We just reported on June 5th that Mercedes will be unveiling a production version of a diesel mild-hybrid S-Class at the Frankfurt Auto Show.

Well now according to AutoCar, Mercedes will also use the event to unveil a production petrol-electric hybrid S-Class that was shown in its concept version at the 2005 Frankfurt Auto Show.

The Merecdes-Benz petrol-electric hybrid will be powered by a 3.5 liter V6 engine that will be matted with an electric motor, producing around 268 horsepower. That should give the car the ability to do 0-62 mph in 7.5 seconds while averaging...
