I hooked up my accelerator to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.

Photo Renderings: 2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK Coupe and Convertible
We’re sure you’ve been seeing the spy shots of the 2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK around the web. Well we just got new photo renderings from Germany giving us the first look at the 2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK without any camouflage.

The next-generation Mercedes-Benz CLK is expected to bigger and more elegant than the outgoing model and will be based on the 2008 Mercedes-Benz C-Class. One major change to the 2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK is the front fascia. The most obvious changeare the dual square shaped headlamps that replace the current circular feel. On the inside, the 2009 Mercedes-Benz E-Class cockpit will have a mixture of the new S-Class and C-Class elements.

Engines are expected to match the new 2008 C-Class with the range topper carrying a 5.5 liter V8 engine that produces 382 horsepower from the S-Class. The car is expected to arrive in dealerships in the summer of 2009 with the convertible following later that year.

Not bad. The body, at least from what I can see, is very similar to the current car.

Hmm, shoppers keep giving it the lights that we saw on the earlier shopped E-Class (ala GS looking). I think MB is going to go more the style of the lights that are on the new C and CL-classes.

I'm gonna replace my current CLK Convertible with this car when it comes out. I like the look of it. I do hope the interior and the sound systems will be better though.

And I don't know why but I thought it would be out by late next year. I 'll just have to wait until 09...it'll be here before you know it.

Tauron

I too want to change my W209 CLK (lease expires May 08). I was thinking of a new C350 sport with all the upgrades but I dont know if that will keep me happy for a few years (Id like more luxury inside). If its a 2009 Model it should be out by next August and announced officially by Mercedes-Benz in the spring. I havent seen any real spyshots though, so Im thinking this could be even a 2010 model. What do u think?

You guys should step out of the box a little. 335i, S5, M3 and others all deserve test drives.

why does every new mercedes photoshop have those dual headlights? the rest of the design looks plausible, but i have seen no indication of benz going in that direction.

Looks like Audi and Porsche have started a trend.

Notice how I didn't use the word "copy," LOL.

I think I already know how the front lights will look like... just like the CL but narrower. Wait and see ;)
