Gee. . . Who cares?

This has to be the least exciting "leak" in the history of automobile design. I'm sure everyone was on the edge of their seats waiting for this one.

Actually I think it looks gorgeous, as always.

I hate to agree but, yeah. A big non event.

See if you can spot the changes.

I just miss the days when not EVERYTHING Porsche made looked like a bloody 911 (the 944, the 928). Even the Cayanne is a 911 as seen through a circus mirror.

How long can you milk a single design?

What days are you talking about? The 928, 944, 924, 968 looked all basically the same.

The 944 and 928 didn't look like variations on the 911 and the 944 was clearly different from the 928. Nowadays everything from Porsche seems spun off the basic 911 theme.

If the 944 and 928 dont look the same, than neither does the 987 and 997. I am with you that today, inspiration comes from the 911. It would have been nice for example if Panamera hadn't also taken on the 911 characteristics. But the 911 should stay the same shape forever. That's the car people want and that's the car Porsche wants to make its people.

Most obvious to me are the rear tailights.

and other than the chrome trim and roof, how is this Targa any different than the Carrera 4 (2009)? A Targa is nothing more than a Carrera 4 with the special roof and chrome bits.

right - they all look the same - not like that gorgeous GTR. BTW, looks like Nissan pulled a fast one with those early GTR "announcements" - looks like it's gonna be the 4.1/12.6@111 mph car coming to the states

Oh people stop hating on Porsche. They obviously are successful so there's nothing wrong in just tweaking minor things with an iconic car. We all know it won't change the performance and pure driving experience of what Porsche is known for.

But secretly deep down I wished Porsche would have switched to something more exotic like the Carrera GT but functionality wise the 911 is superb. Power-weight ratio and how the power is used is marvelous. I can't hate the company they are awesome. Styling is subjective.

Porsche is respected when seen but doesn't beg for attention like Ferrari or Lamborghini(UNLESS IT'S A CARRERA GT)

Love it.

The rear end treatment on the taillights is an improvement, the updated chrome trim looks sharp, and the foglights/fascia change looks great too.

Nothing outrageous, but we already knew it wouldn't be. This is a refresh, not a new model!

I will always love Porsche. Timeless designs and impeccable quality.

Nice nose, but the back end is awful. The teardrop looks too much like a TT.
