Porsche Dedicates Panamera Microsite
Seldom has a Porsche been so eagerly awaited. But now the wait is over: The new Panamera is here. And it has redefined the 4 door,  4 seat design.

Explore its uniqueness. Dive into a new dimension. The new Panamera. Four, uncompromised.

At least that is so it says as Porsche opens a dedicated microsite for the upcoming Panamera.

While we have a  few nice glimpses of this first 4 door model from Porsche, the jury is still out on the "unique" styling of this first 4 door coupe from Porsche.

Check it out and let us know your take.

A Porsche is for sophisticated drivers.

The car is not for you Subaru wannabes.

They sound more sophisticated than your comments. And what does subaru have to do with this? The fact that they have sophisticated car built for the terrain and not for top speed? They don't have a luxury car and don't intend themselves to be a luxury brand. Someone pulled a michealtaylor and amazinbimmer here....

Did anyone ever figure out if it's going to be 200 grand or if that was in euros?

Euros takes my guess.

Yeah, it's definitely euros. I was just in Europe this summer and from what I noticed, car prices seemed to largely be straight-across currency changes with little to no conversion. (A $30,000 car here probably cost around 30,000 euros there.) Apart from that, with the euros-to-dollars conversion, the V-6 model would cost $127,000. That's just crazy. There's no way Porsche in their right minds would charge that much for the base model, especially when in comparison to the prices of their other models. It just doesn't add up. I'm pretty confident in saying that those outrageous prices we all saw everywhere were simply the euro prices converted to dollars.

I'm trying to figure out which is worse...Bangle's first iteration of the 7-series, or this car.

This one is smashingly awful, but I think they are genuinely trying to do something new. It will have, for example, more cargo rooom and better aerodynamics than a traditional sedan.

The BMW, on the other hand, simple skinned up a regular sedan to make it look nasty.

So on the whole I guess I will continue to give the Panamera a brief extension of judgement, in the hopes it will somehow clean up better.

I'd give the award for worse to Bangle, he turned a sleek villain looking car into a fat whale looking car. This one at least isn't ruining anything that had been developed, it's just wasting money on something that's probably not going to work

This reminds of Infiniti's campaign back in the 80's. Where the damn car?
