Porsche Panamera rendering by Top Gear
Thanks to Top Gear magazine we can see these excelent renderings revealing future sedan from Porsche, the Panamera. The photos look real good but they do not represent anything due to the fact that for the moment we do not know for sure how the Panamera will look. What we do know is that the new sedan will be powered by three different engines ranging from a 280bhp V6 to a twin-turbo V8 with more than 500bhp, disponible on the Turbo version. Read Article

my first impressions of the panamera was terrible.

Well, this is a re-post, but I still think it looks awesome. MUCH better than I had expected it to look (if this is what it actually will be). Sexy, sleek, sophisticated... it looks ferocious and elegant at the same time. Better than the Quattroporte?

It's supposed to be a FOUR-DOOR 911. The 911 looks like a hatch. Therefore, the Panamera will look like a bigger hatch. They're both sexy, though.

It looks like a Chrysler Crossfire, Dodge Charger, and 911 got together and had a threesome, and somehow left us with this... Another Porsche with 4 doors..

One big difference Hyundai, the engine is in the front and not in the back ;)

To be honest, I'm sort of confused on what to think. It is definitely distinctive, and its really attractive. The roof line will make for a very roomy interior(its almost like a wagon). I used to hate this car and dreaded its arrival, but now, seeing such an accurate representation, i can't help but anticipate its arrival.

I agree, and it does almost look like a wagon, but remember, it looks more like a four-door 911.

I can see thru the camo, just leave all the judgement up to EL34 ;)

I know what I'm doing for goodness sake!!!

WOW!! Ten times better than all the spy shots. It kinda reminds me of a Jensen Interceptor from the rear (albeit prettier and more modern). I was begining to worry that this car would end up being another Cayenne. Let's hope its an accurate rendering. Personally, if this is how the Panamera turns out to be, the Aston Martin Rapide will have a hard time. There's something about the Aston that makes it look too feminine - it's a beautiful piece of kit but it lacks that subtle aggression that I think all performance sports saloons should have (see M3, C63 Audi RS4 and even the IS-F). Being several rungs up the ladder (both in terms of price and performance) as compared to the said examples, the Porsche and Aston need to have that extra presence and aggression in its styling in addition to heritage and pure performance. Both Aston and Porsche have the heritage thing in spades but I think, based on this rendering, the Porsche's styling achieves the agressive-but-subtle brief better than the Aston.

i agree with marcust, you gotta have an aggressive edge to be a competitive sports sedan...the panamera looks sick in these renderings, the camo'd prototypes looked wayy too bloated

not sure about the hatch-like rear, gotta see it in person

Nice. Definitely looks better with the turbo rims. I think the last pics released had the V6 Cayenne base rims. I can't believe Porsche even offers those wheels. Looks like they belong on a Buick.

This is without question the most BUTT FUGLY sport sedan ever! If you want to call it a crossover I could swallow it but it will definitely flop in the uber sedan market. Who is going to buy a hatchback for their staff car?

I don't like it. Porsche has lost their focus and has just turned into a full line luxury brand. Of course, economics play a part...there's a small market for strictly sports car makers. All comes down to money then...haha. Still don't like the Panamera though. The rounded back end looks bad.
