Porsche’s Future: Cayenne redesign in 2009, Panamera sales begin next year
In recent years, Porsche has been heading away from its sports car roots and has ventured into segments such as SUVs and has transformed the Boxter Roadster into a stylish coupe with its own name, Cayman. Moving forward, Porsche is headed into the four-door-coupe segment with the upcoming Porsche Panamera.

While some worry about the arrival of a four-door Porsche, Porsche proved many wrong with the sales record of the Porsche Cayenne SUV. Porsche hopes that the Panamera will be a strong competitor to the Aston Martin Rapide, Mercedes CLS and the upcoming Audi A7.

The Cayenne's style has evolved to a pretty lofty position, I suppose they could clean up those oriental-looking headlights and make them look like they are part of a German car.

Wow, the Panamera has a very wide marketing spread. From the $60K+ CLS/A7 all the way up to the $200K+ Aston Rapide. That leaves a question mark: how much will it cost? I'm thinking it'll be $100K for a nice one. What engines? Cayenne V8? Twin-turbo six?

porsche should skip this one. Especially with Audi coming out the A7 and VW conteplating on somthing also. If I am going to spend $120k + for a 4-door coupe, then the Aston Martin is the only way to go. For a 2-dr, 4 seat coupe, then the Bently Continental ...
