Porsche secretly building Bugatti Veyron killer?

AutoCar magazine is reporting that Porsche has a Bugatti Veyron killer in development.

As a replacement for the current Carrera GT, it will be called the GT1 and put out over 950 horsepower.

There goes whatever resale value was left on the Carrera GT!

Will be hard to beat but 950horse is still shy of the Veyron's 1001bhp but Porsche would be the company that could do it--or at least open the door until Ferrari decides to thow their hat in the ring with another Limited Production Supercar like the Enzo

THen whatabout the Porsche Carrera GT Gemballa Mirage.Which was said to be under development and it's based on the Carrera GT.

1 years back there was alot of hype made by spies for this gemballa Car.
That it's going to be a modified V10,increasing displacement to 5.7,950BHP,0-100 in 2.5 sec,and biggest of all a price tag of $2.0M.

If this gemballa car is going to be avialable then i don't see the point Porsche re-creating a new similar Super Car, called GT1.

I think the revival of the GT1 is very rare or very early to say.Maybe Porsche will come up with some special edition Porsche Carrera GT in the near future. But that's not going to be this strong,or challenging Veyron for some time.

And even there is least market for such Ultra Super Cars. They are very unpractical for the everyday use.

U r wrong when u r saying Gemballa mirage is a gemballa...it's not true.
IT will be a joint venture between Porsche and Gemballa.
It will not be any common gemballa.like, Gemballa lifetd a car from Porsche and tuned it.
No no...not this time,it will be different.

Spies and sources said Porsche and gemballa will work equally, simultaniously for it's production.
Thatswhy it's name is Porsche Gemballa Mirage.
No Porsche Carrera GT or Gemballas own name.
It will be 50% porsche and 50% Gemballa.

ANd i just said this "And even there is least market for such Ultra Super Cars. They are very unpractical for the everyday use"

because nowadyas Europeans are making so many these types of Cars.Like Buggati Veyron,Ferrari FXX,Maserati MC12 Corsa(have u heared about it..it's too a Veyron competitor)Koingsegg CCX...etc and now Porsche GT1.

And i just said there is least market for these cars...that's it.

These companies mainly make these cars for profits or just to show their level of engineering.

Remember what Porsche said at the end of production of Carrera GT.
That carrera GT was a great source of Money to the company. And it further enhanced their financial position.

I am not saying them that they did something unfair or unfair marketing but just giving u a clue.

Today the world needs fuel efficient cars, fuel
cells,hybrids,biodiesels,hydrogen powered cars,Crossovers,Small GTs...etc

Hope u understood.

I think both Ferrari and Porsche are better on their own way or in their own game.
Ferrari mostly makes big or expensive Sports Cars. They r at the most high end category in the autoworld, while porsche except for the Carrera GT(whose also production ended)is at a level lower. They mainly make,Powerful Sports cars, that are also afordable.

I am not saying that Ferrari or porsche is better than the other but in reality they don't directly compete with each other except in racing series and competitons.

They both r after the different market and different buyers altogeter.

Tell me any competitor from Porsche to these Ferraris, 575M Maranello/Superamerica,599GTB,612 Scaglietti,Enzo
The answer is nothing, there is no REGULAR Porsche which directly competes with these Ferraris.
Porche's biggest or most powerful or most expensive sports car is GT2,which only competes with the entry level Ferrari, the F430.

Ferrari have the most complete super cars lineup in the autoworld. And they r very pure and true to their roots.

Others all true super/sports cars manufacturers like Porsche,AstonMartin,Lamborghini,Spyker..etc have made or are making SUVs and 4 Doors Coupe/Saloon.
So there is a difference.

Again just giving a clue to the intelligents.

All in all i respect both Ferrari and Porsche, but they don't directly competes against each other like MB to BMW or Maybach to Rolls Royce.

Have u read this " The answer is nothing, there is no REGULAR Porsche which directly competes with these Ferraris"
Keyword is REGULAR,and i purposly used it.

I also said this "but in reality they don't directly compete with each other except in racing series and competitons"

Keyword is Racing series and Competitons.

And u r talking about racing. In F1 Renault is beating Ferrari and Mclaren.
So what this tell u or what this phrase proves.

What is all this, 997 GT3 R/GT3 RS/GT3 RSR..there is one more GT3 RSRS.

So i can also say Ferrai have FXX,F50 GT-R...etc
These both cars were $1.7M each.

I am too sorry to disagree with u but Ferrari as a whole doesn't compete with any as a whole brand in the Autoworld. Not even Lamborghini which only have 2 cars.Porsche had many competitors but now nothing,Mclaren have 1 car ...etc
