Possible 2 Door 4 Seat Cabrio Version of the Jaguar XF
It seems that if the XF does as well as it looks like it will that Jaguar has a Cabrio version in the works. How cool would that be? Read Article

I remember reading on ...I believe it was autocar a article which used the word coupe in reference to a version of the XF, but the wording was a bit ambiguous, and didn't provide any information on whether it was a mistake or they had let something out.

I think a coupe version would actually be quite fetching. If it is one thing that Ian Callum does know it is coupes.

I also think that it would compliment the lineup nicely simply because I would imagine that the car will have a larger backseat than the XK- which really doesn't have one despite the fact that there are two nooks back there that a leprechaun would be hard pressed to fit into.

Furthermore, I know Jaguar has insisted on maintaining the 4 vehicle lineup and I have been somewhat suspicious that a coupe version of the XF was in the works simply because they need to do away with the X-type.

Well, coupe isn't really the right word, but you know what I mean.

Well, then, how the hell would they ever sell an XF two-door, four-seat convertible with the XK doing the same thing? Doesn't make sense...

S4,

well it seems that BMW has no problem selling Z4's and 3 series and 6 series convertiblaes. What is your point? The XF would be a true 4 seat convertible. Are you feeling ok today S4?

Woah, woah, calm down. I love Jaguar and I'm rooting for the XF. It just doesn't seem to make sense- they will be closer in price than the 3 Series/6 Series convertibles, they'll be similar in size and will offer the same engines. What's the point?

I know you are a supporter that's why I was shocked. Sorry!
The average price increase over the non convertible version of the Jaguar XK is about 6k so if you figure a price point of 50-65 k that means the XF cabrio will range from 56-71 k.

Lower than the XK or the 6 series and in line with the competition for this segment.

I do see your point about the closeness of price but a 4 seat convert will attract well to do's with kids the XK convert will attract similar people without and those with grown kids that already have a car or are away at school. So I don't anticipate any overlap problem But you point could be valid
