General Motors Corp will recall almost 300,000 Chevrolet HHR wagons because of a problem with a storage bin latch, according to a notice filed by federal safety regulators on Monday. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on its Web site the recall would cover 296,422 HHR's built for the 2006 through 2008 model years.
During testing, a storage bin in the top center of the instrument panel failed to remain closed as required by federal safety standards.
