In some cases recalls can be silly. This is not one of those.

Jaguar Land Rover's luxury models dubbed Range Rovers are being called in. And we're not talking about an insignificant number of them, either. 62,000 vehicles in total are going to require some fixing.

Unfortunately, the sensor that detects whether the passenger occupying the front seat is a child or small adult is not operating correctly. This could result in the sensor turning off the airbag when it should actually be on. That shouldn't give you the warm and fuzzies, especially as we have no idea when our next accident will happen.

If you own the following, make sure to follow up with your dealer or Land Rover directly:

- 2013-2015 Land Rover Range Rover
- 2014-2015 Land Rover Range Rover Sport
