Ouch! A lot of cars from all makes have been having Airbag problems. Still, Hyundai hasnt had many recalls compared to its competitors. Still, a recall is a recall.

My cameras, television, dvd player, microwave and calculator are all Asian and they're pretty good but few Asian cars appeal to me.

Nobody should be surprised about this. I mean, how many ten year old Hyundais do you see? None of them make it that long.

I don't know. If they do, they'll spend millions fixing the crap they've made.

My 95 Elantra runs great. I think the problem is that demographic of earlier Hyundai buyers did not maintain their vehicles.

hyundai is a a relaiable car in korea and it has no problems because its built by a national hands works with pride that it makes cars that scores the top sales over the world.
cars made in U.S.A known for their problems because the manpower is " what the hell " type ! they show no dedication or loyalty towards rice cars .

fatboi,
The Chevy Aveo, Optra and Epica are rebadged Daewoos built by "We think we're European's" in Korea.

I guess electrical systems aren't their specialty.

10 year warranty or 100k for drivetrain only (basic warranties : 5 years or 60k). if you have your car for 4 years and your car has 101k it's not covered. so 10 year warranty does not mean that the car will last at least 10 years...
