It was only days ago that Audi formally announced that it will be producing a Q1. It was weird though, if I am honest. That's because the four rings made this announcement in a press release.

Strikes me as odd considering most automotive companies want to keep its strategic plans under wraps.

Granted, I think it's pretty safe to say that with vehicles like the GLA, X1, etc. we're only going to see more luxury brands trying to connect with a younger demographic with money to burn. After all, Mercedes has proven that it can do great numbers in the "entry-level" segment with the all-new CLA.

In my travels around New York City and Hoboken I've noticed A TON of those Subaru XV CrossTreks and while I think it's a great looking product that's connecting with the consumers, I'd wager that plenty of these active, young, 30-somethings wouldn't mind a brand with a bit more cachet. Enter the Q1.

As an AutoSpies user pointed out the other day, essentially Audi just provided us with a cartoon of the vehicle's side profile. Well, our friends across the pond got a bit more inventive and put together this rendering of what it thinks the all-new Q1 could look like.

Are you digging it?
