This past week news broke that Chevrolet would be taking the next step with the Corvette nameplate. Most of you should be aware that the standard car is only one of many 'Vettes to typically exist.

There's still the lightweight track-focused car, the Z06.

Then there's the high horsepower, technical tour de force, the ZR1.

And, though we're not sure they'll do it this time, the Grand Sport. The GS is really a "middler" between the standard car and the Z06. Think of it like the Porsche 911 GTS.

A gentleman, Craig Darling, recently posted on his Google + feed an image of what appears to be a heavily Photoshopped rendering of a Z06. Note the wheels/tires, venting and other little aerodynamic changes?

Information is a bit slim but I bet if you stay tuned we'll have a bit more on the upcoming Z06 slated for Detroit. ;)
